K-12 Courses

Essential Study Skills

Essential Study Skills (Grades 7-8) and (grades 9-12)

Essential Study Skills are designed to teach students how to be active, efficient, and confident students. These ten-hour, five-day courses are taught in the summer and explore the skills and efficient work process that is necessary for students to produce their best work. The courses are developed around the executive function skills that are expected at each grade(s) level and divided into specific skill sets that are essential for all students who want to develop learned independence.

Ultimately, our courses will allow students to better understand and manage their school work by increasing their awareness of their individual learning profile, what teachers expect, how to best prepare for work and assessments, and how to self-advocate, shift, and succeed.
